About the Job
The magnetic heartbeat and tour guide of this world, he must command the screen with a natural, unforced presence that feels like a local resident talking to a lifelong friend on his front porch. Deeply grounded actor with incredible emotional range and excellent movement skills to deliver poetic, direct-to-camera dialogue while walking through dynamic environments. Vocal delivery must effortlessly mirror the evolving timeline of the piece: shifting from a high-energy, rhythm-driven cadence when celebrating D.C.’s rich musical and athletic roots, dropping into a heavy, soulful weight when addressing decades of systemic neglect, and ultimately rising into an inspiring, warm clarity that captures the hopeful dawn of the community's modern rebirth.
